How do you guys usually plan out the timing for a birthday party? I always seem to rush or run out of time for cake and presents. Do you have a set schedule you follow, or just go with the flow? Looking for tips to make the day run a bit smoother.

It’s always a bit of a juggling act with kids’ parties. Sometimes the best moments are the unplanned ones, like when everyone just starts dancing out of nowhere. As long as everyone’s happy, the schedule isn’t everything.
I like to keep things pretty loose, but having a rough plan definitely helps. For the https://essexsoftplaybus.co.uk/ party, we did about an hour of play first, then paused for snacks and cake, and finished with some quieter activities and presents. The bus staff gave us a heads-up when it was time to switch things up, which helped keep us on track. I’d say leave some buffer time for arrivals and goodbyes, and try to have a couple of backup games if you finish early. But yeah, don’t stress if things don’t go exactly to plan—the kids are there to have fun!
